Automotion (regio Gent) is specialist in het engineeren van hyperefficiënte en gebruiksvriendelijke machines voor machinebouwers en hun eindklanten . Hun betrokkenheid start bij de conceptfase en loopt door tijdens de complete levenscyclus van elke machine.De onderneming groeide sinds haar oprichting uit tot een van de sterkste spelers in de wereld van automatisering. Dat is ook Schneider Electric niet ontgaan. Deze wereldspeler besloot daarom in 2007 haar Motion Competence Centre bij Automotion onder te brengen. Dit jarenlange succes resulteerde in een expansie van de activiteiten naar Nederland en Duitsland. Om de gewenste groei schaalbare draagkracht te geven, breiden ze hun leadershipteam uit met een Operations Manager. Functieomschrijving Waarom deze kans grijpen? Automotion staat op een kantelpunt. De organisatie groeit in projecten, klanten, technologie en geografische spreiding. Wat werkte op kleinere schaal, vraagt vandaag meer samenhang, scherpere keuzes en een stevig operationeel kompas. Jouw verantwoordelijkheden: Als Operations Manager krijg je een duidelijke opdracht: bouw een schaalbare, coherente en toekomstgerichte operationele organisatie die groei mogelijk maakt zonder aan slagkracht of klantgerichtheid in te boeten. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor een team van 10 medewerkers en dit in R&D, Customer Projects, Orderverwerking, Training en Customer Service. Voor al deze domeinen werk je een duidelijk beleid, groeiverhaal en plan van aanpak uit. Je ontwikkelt één geïntegreerde operationele visie over teams en processen heen. Je brengt structuur en focus waar complexiteit toeneemt. Je organiseert hoe R&D structureel meedraait in lopende projecten en bewaakt dat innovatie ook rendement oplevert Je teamleden coach en ondersteun je in hun groei en onderlinge samenwerking Je werkt hierbij nauw samen met je collega’s uit het Leadershipteam: CEO, Sales, Business Innovation, Business Support en dit alles met stevige ondersteuning van de afdeling Continuous Improvement. Profiel Welke competenties breng je mee? Je bent een ervaren operationsprofessional die bewust kiest voor een kleinere, wendbare organisatie waar strategisch denken en pragmatische uitvoering samenkomen. Je herkent jezelf in het volgende: Je hebt een Master en achtergrond in engineering met 5 à 7 jaar ervaring in een operationele managementrol bij voorkeur binnen machinebouw, industriële automatisering, industriële IT of service deliveryEn dit in projectgedreven organisaties. Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring in het aansturen, ontwikkelen en coachen van teams Je bezit voldoende technische bagage om zowel het samenspel tussen software, hardware en mechanica te begrijpen als inhoudelijk te challengen Essentieel voor succes in deze rol: een oprechte gedrevenheid voor industriële automatisering, technologische innovatie en klantgericht partnerschap.
