Job Description – Program Management Officer (IT / Digital PMO)
We ARE looking for a Program Management Officer (PMO) to support the coordination, governance, and successful delivery of complex IT and digital programs within the energy sector. In this role, you will ensure structure, transparency, and alignment across multiple projects and streams, while supporting Program Managers and senior stakeholders with clear reporting and effective follow-up.
Your Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor multiple projects and streams to ensure alignment with overall program goals.
Set up and manage reporting systems for planning, progress, budget, and risks, translating project status into program-level insights.
Manage program-level risks by identifying, tracking, and escalating issues.
Support Program Managers and stream leads with quality control, deliverable validation, and stakeholder communication.
Organize and follow up on meetings and tasks, including Steering Committee sessions, action tracking, and document management.
Your Profile
Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics
Minimum 2 years of experience in project or program support (experience within Elia is a strong plus)
Good understanding of IT, digital, or technical project environments
Knowledge of the energy sector is an asset
Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
Highly organized, punctual, and detail-oriented
Assertive and autonomous, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Proactive and impact-focused, with strong follow-up skills
Strong collaborative mindset, comfortable working in cross-functional project teams
Additional information: Location: Brussels
Onsite presence: By default, a physical presence on site is required for 2 days per week.
