Job Title: H&S Expert Construction Location: Zaventem, Belgium Languages: English, Dutch Contract Duration: 05/01/2026 - 31/01/2026 Working Mode: Hybrid Job Description As an H&S Expert Construction, you will provide support and advice on all construction projects within Company. You will view construction and infrastructure projects from a bird's-eye view: from the initial design to final delivery. You will assess plans and implementation files for their compliance with the Codex Well-being at Work and related regulations, and you will support project teams and prevention advisors with strategic, supported advice. You will make a difference through your broad overview, technical maturity, and your ability to structurally integrate safety throughout the entire construction process, as well as your pragmatic knowledge of construction sites, allowing your insights and technical input to provide the necessary safety improvements within a fascinating and continuously growing company. Your responsibilities Strategic review & advice Analyze whether technical designs, specifications, and implementation plans comply with the Codex Well-being at Work, ARAB, and relevant standards. Review risk analyses, safety, and implementation files at a strategic level. Provide prevention measures that must be integrated from the design phase onward. Formulating clear recommendations and following up actions within project teams, from concept to delivery. Stakeholder advice & internal collaboration Sparring partner for project managers, technical services and prevention advisors. Identifying deviations, proposing pragmatic solutions and ensuring follow-up. Actively participating in consultations and ensuring transparent internal reporting. Regulations & knowledge sharing Monitoring, interpreting and translating legislation and standards into concrete, workable internal guidelines. Contributing to the development and improvement of tools such as checklists, templates and internal training courses. Visiting active works and assessing their impact on the active aviation environment. Your profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in a construction or technical field or at least 10 years of demonstrable experience. At least several years of relevant experience in an advisory or supervisory Health & Safety role within construction or infrastructure projects. Experience with project monitoring across the entire project cycle, not just during execution. Thorough knowledge of the Codex Well-being at Work, ARAB and standards (NBN/ISO/EN). Certificate of Prevention Advisor Level II or Safety Coordinator A is a plus, but not a requirement Competencies You work independently, are adaptable, and can clearly analyze complex technical and legal documents. You write clear, structured advice and communicate diplomatically but decisively. You understand the dynamics of CAPEX projects, where both speed and accuracy are crucial. You have an excellent command of Dutch, both spoken and written.
