Payroll - SQL Server Database Administrator - Brussels Are you a seasoned Database Administrator with a passion for SQL Server and a knack for problem-solving? A long-time client in Brussels is seeking a highly skilled professional to join their dynamic team. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to balance office presence with the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance and security. Develop and implement PowerShell scripts for automation and efficiency. Oversee Microsoft Active Directory, PowerBI/ReportServer, and SSAS. Handle Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and vulnerability management software. Utilise your knowledge of Linux RedHat and automation tools like Ansible. Troubleshoot and resolve server and client security issues. Propose solutions for system performance issues, including CPU, indexing, cache hits, IOPS, and RAM. Collaborate with teams using Git, JIRA, and Confluence for project management and version control. Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience as a Database Administrator, particularly with SQL Server. Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and PowerShell scripting. Familiarity with Microsoft Cluster Service and Windows Server-based schedulers. Strong understanding of server and client security, including public key infrastructure. Experience with HP & Supermicro Servers hardware platforms. Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and PowerShell. Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues effectively. Experience with Git, JIRA, and Confluence is advantageous.
