We are partnering with a well-established organization that is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead and coordinate its payroll operations. This is a full-time employment role starting as soon as possible The role requires a hands-on and people-focused payroll professional who can manage a team, oversee day-to-day payroll operations, and drive process improvement. Onsite presence is strongly preferred, occasional teleworking is possible, but this is primarily an office-based role. Position Overview The Payroll Manager will oversee payroll operations for approximately 600 employees, including both blue-collar and white-collar staff. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery, provide leadership to the payroll team, and collaborate with HR and Finance to optimize payroll processes. Key Responsibilities Manage, guide, and coordinate the payroll team in daily operations. Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employee categories (blue-collar and white-collar). Ensure compliance with Belgian social legislation, tax rules, and internal company policies. Review and validate payroll data, ensuring accurate salary calculations and payments. Manage reporting and reconciliation between payroll and accounting. Support audits, social inspections, and internal control activities. Proactively identify process improvement opportunities in collaboration with HR and Finance. Act as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries and escalation points. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Specialist in Belgium. Strong knowledge of Belgian labor law, payroll legislation, and tax regulations. Experience managing mixed employee groups (blue-collar and white-collar). Strong leadership and coordination skills. Excellent attention to detail and process improvement mindset. Collaborative and service-oriented, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels. Fluent in Dutch; proficiency in English or French is a plus.
