**Responsibilities**:
Oversee and organize the daily workflow and the daily operations of direct reports in the production area for the assigned value stream and shift

Responsible for onboarding, immersion and organizing the (cross-)training of direct reports.

Attracts, engages, and retains diverse talent.

Responsible for oversight of direct reports including hiring, training, personal development, performance management, career discussions and discipline.

Perform approval and tracking of time off requests and time sheets to ensure a successful planning of resources

Create and maintain the weekly shift schedule of direct reports.

Have Production meetings with direct reports on a regular basis.

Ensure direct reports are trained to troubleshoot and correct problems that may arise throughout the process, to use new equipment and software, and on new and revised work instructions.

Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.

Interface with other critical operations departments.

Ensure customer orders are processed efficiently, correctly and on time.

Assist Manager with Interpreting QC results and follow up when failures warrant further investigation.

Assist in keeping all work instructions and logs up to date pertaining to processes.

Document any process deviations or non-conformances appropriately.

Perform and oversee decontamination programs on liquid handling instruments.

Submit and follow up on work orders when necessary.

Assist in Troubleshooting and correcting problems that may arise throughout the process.

Help Overseeing the processing and documentation of non-standard orders.

Ensure that all required checklists are being utilized by direct reports and perform verification for others when necessary.

Assist in the implementation of new processes and new equipment including change management.

Document any process deviations, NCR’s, PCO’s and/or CAPA’s appropriately.

Comply with rules and guidance applicable to your value stream ( e.g. current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) requirement in GMP)

Assist in making sure all work instructions pertaining to processes and safety guidelines are being followed.

Perform assignments as designated by Management.

Demonstrates and upholds behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values and delivers the Integrated DNA Technologies experience to customers and other business associates.

Be aware of IDT’s policy on and contribute to quality and environmental management by adhering to the requirements of the ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 standards and internal procedures and work instructions.

Contribute to the implementation and improvement of quality (QMS) and environmental management systems (EMS) by: being aware of and reporting changes that may affect QMS and EMS related aspects, actions and objectives of the relevant department, assist in related actions and management programs as required.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a science related field required.
Basic knowledge of the chemical processes in manufacturing practices.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Lean/DBS knowledge preferred.
Must speak English fluently and have excellent English writing skills.
Team player - willing to be part of the team in the manufacturing space.
Have excellent computer skills and the ability to multitask.
Possesses the ability to adapt to changes in the process.
Must be able to interact in a professional manner with customers, employees, and all levels of management.
Have excellent communication skills and be able to make decisions independently.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work environments, management styles, and business trends.
Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergent, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations, or situation in which working speed and sustained attention are make-or-break aspects of the job.
Ability to prioritize work and complete projects in an accurate and timely manner.
Ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity.
