At Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) Belux organization, we are looking for a Finance Manager Commercial Control to join our team. This role oversees the country Financial planning and is the linking pin to the Corporate team in our headquarter Amsterdam. The business operates as a strong leader in FMCG category across B2B and B2C channels in the local market.
This positionreports to the BeLux Finance Director and manages a team of 4 people (Commercial Controllers and a Finance Specialist).
**Responsibilities**:
The Finance Manager (Commercial Control) aims to drive financial performance of the company by making recommendations to optimize financial performance. You act as key business partner for the Finance Director and the Sales Directors of JDE.
Some key tasks are:
- Financial reporting towards business unit and corporate (forecast, period end closing, VPM analysis), communicating insight and analysis to the management and business
- Analyse, interpret and challenge the sales figures and profitability per segment / channel / customer
- Drive efficient and effective financial processes within the monthly reporting cycle, Annual Operating Plan process and Customer business Plans
- Participate and steer finance excellence projects within commercial landscape
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal control framework
The Finance Manager manages the Commercial Controlling team that is responsible for the below responsibilities
- Participate to budget (AOP), M-(Supply) Cycle, forecast and monthly reporting preparations, analyses and presentations
- Prepare for planning scenarios together with Segment Managers and National Account Manager
- Maintain control over the different Customers’ agreements in collaboration with Sales (full responsibility over the financials in CRM tools)
- Handle any ad hoc questions about financial processes, administrative processing and reporting
- Build a strong and engaged team that delivers. You have a strong focus on people development and consistently improves capabilities and engagement in the team.
**Qualifications**:
For this role, we are looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- Master in Business, Economics or comparable with 5- 8 years of relevant Finance experience in FP&A or Commercial Controlling
- Experience in leading a team
- Experience in FMCG, B2C and B2B environment in a plus
- Strong financial skills, able to oversee complex and diverse environment;
- Strong engagement, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a set of stakeholders & hold others accountable
- Strong analytical skills (accuracy and speed)
- Ability to make the complex simple
- Team spirit, result and solution oriented
- English and Dutch and/or French
