**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, plan and implement data center infrastructure, including server rooms, networking equipment, and storage solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and systems
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data center, including monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Implement and maintain best practices for server and storage infrastructure
- Monitor data center performance and identify areas for improvement
- Implement changes and upgrades to optimize resource utilization and energy efficiency
- Implement and manage security measures to safeguard the data center against potential threats
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data center security
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data center resilience in the face of unexpected events
- Conduct regular drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery procedures
- Conduct regular capacity assessments to anticipate and address future data center growth and demands
- Recommend and implement scalable solutions to accommodate the organization's evolving needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center configurations, changes and procedures
- Create and update documentation for data center architecture and topologies
**Must Haves Qualities & Talents**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Center Expert or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking and virtualization
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English and Dutch and/or French
