Following a meticulous restoration, Corinthia Brussels will marry the classical elegance of its storied past with sophisticated modern facilities including 126 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, and 1000 square metres of wellness. Catering to discerning locals and luxury travellers, Corinthia Brussels will harmonise heritage with an avant-garde attitude.

At Corinthia Brussels, we're seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our esteemed team. In this role, you'll be the linchpin in our financial operations, ensuring seamless transactions and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including meticulously matching invoices and delivery notes to approved purchase orders, utilizing our different systems to process invoices and facilitate payments. Additionally, you'll conduct thorough reconciliations of supplier accounts, leveraging your keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure all hotels’ expenses are accurately recorded as well as authorized by the relevant head of department.
- Ensure prompt and accurate payment of approved invoices and proforma invoices.
- Ensures timely and accurate payment to suppliers monthly or as required and proper reconciliation of supplier accounts.
- Processes of invoices, expenses claims, and payments requests on the purchase ledger, including matching to goods received and purchased orders and delivery notes.
- Reviews and reconciles supplier accounts to keep only suitable balances outstanding.
- Ensures invoices have the correct authorization, liaising with those ordering goods and services.
- Processes payments runs on a regular basis, ensuring correct authorization, and referring to agreed payment terms or alternate internal instructions.
- Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers and assist in supplier query resolution.
- Reconciles purchase ledger to supplier statements.
- Month end close procedures including reconciling purchase ledger to general ledger, and the preparation of accruals for unauthorized invoices and of unmatched purchase orders and delivery notes
- Keeps abreast of newest trends and innovations in the hospitality industry.
- Generally being alert for opportunities to improve the profitability of the department i.e. through controlling wastage and being responsible for the economy of all utilities and resources.
- Takes a proactive approach to Accounting activity, anticipating potential opportunities.
- Attends any department training sessions and/or meetings required.
- Liaises with other departments to ensure good communication and offer support.
- Is fully conversant with the Corinthia Employee Handbook.
- Supports the hotel operation in times of demand.
- Drives the Corinthia values and philosophy.

**HEALTH & SAFETY**
- To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and as applicable to your place of work. This will include the incumbent’s awareness of any specific hazards at the work place.
- The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
- To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.
- To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
- To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning:

- Fire, Health and Safety
- Regulations, such as COHSS in the European Union, related to the control of substances hazardous to health.
- Risk Assessments for your department
- Hotel Fire & Bomb Procedures
