**Context**:
Within Degroof Petercam Asset Management, which is managing funds and institutional mandates on behalf of institutional end-investors as well as distribution partners (private banks, insurance companies and retail networks), we are currently looking for a new colleague (M/F).
**Risk Manager**
The primary responsibility of the Risk Manager will be to oversee and manage the firm's risk exposure across all asset classes. This will involve assessing, measuring, and monitoring risks related to investment activities, as well as implementing and maintaining risk management policies and procedures.
**Your Position**:
- Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures for the firm;
- Identify, measure, and assess risks related to investment activities, including market, credit, liquidity, and sustainability risks;
- Monitor and report on the firm's risk exposure, including the risks of investment portfolios and adherence to risk limits;
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to identify potential risks and evaluate the impact of adverse market conditions;
- Communicate risk management findings and recommendations to senior management, including proposing actions to mitigate risk exposure;
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in regulatory requirements related to risk management.
**Your Profile**:
- Master degree in Finance/Science;
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in an asset management firm;
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and risk management principles and practices;
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to identify, measure, and assess risks across different asset classes;
- Affinity for IT (VBA/R/Python), you will need to learn to code in Python (on the job training offered);
- CFA or equivalent certifications would be a plus;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with portfolio managers, senior management, and external stakeholders;
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to risk management in the asset management industry is a plus.
- Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of French/Dutch is a plus.
