**Introduction**:
The Business Director - IT (aviation) will lead the strategic and operational IT initiatives for the aviation vertical. This role is akin to an advanced senior IT Business Analyst in the aviation domain, bridging the gap between IT solutions and aviation business needs.

**Duties/role**:

- Supervising the formulation of the organization's business goals and objectives;
- Overseeing business revenues;
- Identifying opportunities and expanding the company's presence;
- Cultivating client relationships to ensure achievement of business objectives;
- Championing the adoption of project management processes;
- Facilitating communication across key cross-divisional stakeholders;
- Coordinating team interactions;
- Collaborating closely with Lead Architect, Client Partner, and PMO;
- Evaluating customer requirements and orders;
- Defining and championing the strategic IT vision in alignment with the aviation business goals;
- Leading the development and execution of IT roadmaps, ensuring they are aligned with the company's aviation objectives;
- Engaging with key aviation stakeholders to understand and document business requirements;
- Collaborating with IT teams to develop, implement, and refine solutions that address aviation-specific needs;
- Fostering strong relationships with Senior Management, Flight Operations, Ground Services, and other relevant aviation departments;
- Representing the IT function at the aviation industry forums, conferences, and seminars;
- Overseeing IT projects specific to the aviation field, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes;
- Leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring aviation IT projects meet business objectives;
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the aviation IT space;
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to streamline operations and enhance IT service delivery within the aviation sector;
- Ensuring that all IT initiatives comply with aviation industry regulations and standards;
- Overseeing the assessment and mitigation of risks related to IT implementations in the aviation environment.
