The Regional Risk Management function is a key building block of the company and balance sheet safeguarding framework. Given the nature of the Allianz business in Benelux, you are exposed to P&C, Life and Health insurance activities across the three countries in our region.
Joining our team opens up opportunities to contribute to the company strategy by supporting senior management in balancing risk and performance. We are regularly exposed to senior executives incl. CEO & CFO and participate in major projects.

**Who are we?**
The Enterprise Risk Management team is responsible for the assessment, monitoring and steering of the company’s enterprise risk and control framework. Its activities include the management of operational, IT, underwriting, and project risks.
**What will your role be?**
As Operational Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in the second line of defence to ensure the company is resilient to operational, IT, underwriting, and project risks. You will work closely with fellow control functions and support the business with the definition, monitoring and assessment of the risk and control framework. A key component to be successful in this role is to build collaborative and trusting relationships with business leaders and colleagues across the three lines of defence.

- You support and challenge the business in the identification, management and monitoring of significant risks arising in key processes, activities and projects
- You proactively coordinate the identification, design and testing of key controls through constant interaction with the business and follow-up on operational weaknesses
- You update and maintain the risk and control system while ensuring the consistency and quality of operational risk data and reports
- You coordinate reporting to senior management on strategic risks, operational weaknesses and the ongoing quality of the control structure
- You foster the collaboration with other control functions such as Compliance, Audit and Information Security during cross-functional initiatives

**What we expect from you**
- You have obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business Economics / Administration, Business Information Technology / Science, Law or related field
- You have up to 3 years work experience, preferably in Operational Risk Management, (Internal) Audit, Compliance, IT or management consulting. Exposure to the financial sector is a plus
- You can communicate fluently in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus
- You have proficient working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- You are self-driven and analytical, you can grasp a variety of topics and think critically
- You are an excellent communicator with the ability to articulate your thoughts in a clear and concise manner to various audiences, including senior management
- Familiarity with control frameworks (COSO, COBIT) is beneficial but not a must
- You are willing to travel occasionally to Brussels
