EK Global is looking for a full-time Product Owner to join our growing Knowledge Management Strategy and Design Practice. This individual will maintain the cohesive vision of technical products by refining and prioritizing work that creates the greatest value for a range of commercial clients.
As Product Owner, you will develop and prioritize product backlogs that represent our client's needs and product goals while collaboratively working with cross-functional teams to plan and manage product releases. Further, this individual will help bridge the communication gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders and team members, making interpersonal communication an important skill set to have. As with all of our positions, we are also seeking independent thinkers with creative problem-solving skills. To be successful, you’ll also need an understanding of:
- Agile Frameworks, Tools, and Methods
- Business Strategy and Analysis
- Project and Product Management
- Software Development Life Cycle

**Responsibilities**:
- Serve as the Product Owner for large technical projects, and provide consultative support on other non-technical projects for commercial clients.
- Own the vision and roadmap for high-visibility technical products that are integrated with multiple internal-facing enterprise systems.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to manage scope and resources with a fixed budget.
- Work closely with Scrum Masters, Project Managers, UX Team Members, and Technical Leads to successfully achieve project milestones and deliverables.
- Work with clients to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals while continuing to show value and communicate progress.
- Efficiently and effectively develop and guide the development user stories.
- Maintain a prioritized and refined backlog of user stories for implementation to ensure work focuses on maximum value areas that are aligned with product strategy and scope.
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and serve as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
- Assist in developing appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- 5 or more years of experience in technology product/project management.
- 3 or more years of agile project management experience.
- Comfort with navigating ambiguity and client needs that rapidly evolve on a weekly basis.
- Experience with the full SDLC and relevant tools and technologies.
- Experience interacting with executives and presenting polished material to C-Suite level staff.
- Excellent facilitation skills, particularly with respect to requirements gathering and strategic planning.
- Excellent knowledge of Jira, Trello, and other project management tools.
- Comfort with fast-paced projects with a quick turnaround for deliverables.
- Experience with technologies such as Jira, Confluence, Slack (or equivalent), PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
**Preferred Skills and Experience**
- Agile and/or project management certifications (CSM, PMP, etc.).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in multiple international time zones.
- Technical knowledge of search engines, semantic technologies (taxonomy management tools or Knowledge Graphs), learning management systems, and content management systems (not SharePoint).
- Experience with strategic planning and business development in the management consulting industry.
- Technical experience serving as a developer, data engineer, technical analyst, business analyst, systems analyst, systems engineer, tech lead, or architect in current or prior role(s).
- Demonstrable examples of thought leadership in Agile, Lean, or other modern development frameworks.
- Previous experience with Knowledge and Information Management.
