The Junior Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for assisting the A/P department in its daily accounts payable function. The A/P department ensures accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, handle payment disbursements, and maintain strong relationships with vendors. You’ll work closely with the GL accountants to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

**Your Tasks**:

- Management of the MS Outlook A/P mailbox - Management of the reminders sent to A/P and invoices sent on paper format
- Management of the non-invoice formats and invalid invoices received in Basware
- Dispute management
- Management of the non-PO invoices received for which coding lines should be added in Basware
- Support A/P Accountants and ensure good collaboration and communication
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiency
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

**Your Profile**:
**_Basic Requirements: _**
- Proven experience as a junior accountant (2-5 years)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting under BE GAAP: understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices - Knowledge on Belgian VAT and relevant tax regulation
- Language skills:

- French environment
- Good written and oral English language skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., SAP)

- Excellent organizational and communication abilities and attention to detail
- Strong analytical acumen and comfort with numbers
- Experience with automated AP systems
- Familiarity with procurement processes
- Open to new ideas - Quick learner.

**Your Future Team**:
**The Accounting & Consolidation **department is part of the Group Finance Team based in Belgium and has several responsibilities:

- Act as a guardian for statutory accounting rules and procedures in Belgium, Luxemburg, France and The Netherlands, but also for the Group accounting rules applied for Group reporting
- Serve as a reference for complex accounting matters
- In charge of Group consolidation and statutory accounting in accordance with B-Gaap and Lux Gaap. The Accounting team currently manages more than 20 legal entities
- Prepare the consolidated annual report
- Maintain relationship with the external Group auditors
- Administrator of our group consolidation system (Tagetik)
- Interact on a regular basis with the other departments of the Group Finance team: Group Controlling, Group Corporate Finance & Tax, Group Treasury.
