Now, the fabled Grand Hotel Astoria will re-emerge as Corinthia Brussels later in 2024, a beacon of elegance and luxury in the heart of the Belgian capital.

Following a meticulous restoration, Corinthia Brussels will marry the classical elegance of its storied past with sophisticated modern facilities including 126 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, and 1000 square metres of wellness. Catering to discerning locals and luxury travellers, Corinthia Brussels will harmonise heritage with an avant-garde attitude.

As our future Commis Sommelier of the new Restaurant "Palais Royal" at the Corinthia Brussels, you will play a vital role in curating our wine selection, ensuring that each bottle reflects the quality and sophistication our guests expect. From selecting wines that complement our menu to providing impeccable service and guidanc, you will contribute to creating unforgettable moments for our guests.

With 2-star Executive Chef David Martin at the helm, we need passionate individuals who have a desire to grow within our business and help us achieve our aspirations for the Palais Royal Restaurant.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide personalized and attentive service to guests in our restaurants, bars, and lounges, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.
- Based on current trends, budget considerations, and the establishment's menu, the Commis Sommelier is responsible for selecting wines to offer to customers.
- Receiving wine deliveries, ensuring quality control, and managing stock levels.
- Ensuring wines are stored under optimal conditions to maintain their quality.
- Assisting customers in selecting the perfect wine, the Commis Sommelier is responsible for serving wine to guests.
- Offering guidance on wine tasting to enhance the dining experience..

TALENT PROFILE

**Experience**:Previous experience in a similar role or a passion in the wine industry is desirable.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Strong knowledge of wines, including regions, varietals, and vintages.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Attention to detail to maintain quality standards in wine selection and service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Impeccable personal presentation, reflecting the sophistication and elegance of Corinthia Brussels.
