**Description**:
We are seeking a committed and meticulous System Engineer to become a member of our ten-person team of dedicated Technology Department System Engineers in Brussels, Belgium. With a strong emphasis on preserving the reliability of our network infrastructure, the ideal applicant will have a thorough understanding of network administration and telecom operations as well as practical expertise in these fields. Although network administration and telecom operations are the main duties of this position, competence in other System Engineer domains is advantageous.
**Your Responsibilities**:
Oversee and improve the network infrastructure, including WiFi access points, switches, routers, and VLANs, to guarantee the dependability and efficiency of our system.
Put in place and maintain efficient systems for capacity management and network monitoring, which will help automate jobs and increase productivity.
As a third level support resource, offer the required assistance in the event of an incident by analyzing and resolving complicated technical problems.
Take charge of the tracking and upkeep of operational solutions, as well as the creation, maintenance, and effective dissemination of thorough documentation and processes to all relevant parties.
Regularly evaluate the success of the security measures that have been put in place, making recommendations for and putting into action any necessary changes.
**Your profile**:
Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in network management within enterprise environments.
Demonstrated proficiency with diverse network technologies and protocols, including configuring and managing CISCO products such as Switches, Routers, WiFi access points/WLC, Cisco ASA, CISCO ISE, Cisco Meraki SD-Wan, and VLANs.
Skilled in overseeing LAN and WAN setups, delivering robust network solutions.
Proven expertise in managing DNS (internal and external) and DHCP technologies to optimize network configurations.
Competent in configuring Cisco VPN protocols (Site-to-Site and Anyconnect) for secure and efficient network communication.
Knowledgeable in VoIP systems integration into Cisco networks, including platforms like Skype for Business, MS-Teams, Polycom VVX, and Spider Trio 8800 phone range.
Experience in integrating multi-cloud networks (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Private Cloud) for flexible and scalable solutions.
Proficient in managing Cisco WiFi access points for reliable wireless connectivity.
Skilled in implementing Azure network solutions in hybrid environments, linking on-premises networks with Azure cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with copper and optical fibre cabling standards and their implementation for physical connectivity.
Proficient in integrating telephony systems with MS-Teams, upgrading older systems to modern MS-Teams-based solutions.
Strong grasp of network security best practices, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
