The insurance space is changing rapidly. New ways of creating value from data are evolving at a daily pace. Within Allianz Benelux, we are looking for a Senior Product Owner for MiRA our innovative underwriting tool for MidCorp P&C.
MiRA supports the underwriters by automating mundane tasks, preparing cases based on automated discovery of information, and integrating with multiple tools and data sources. MiRA is a key tool in growing the MidCorp business by allowing underwriters to assess, prepare and win contracts faster, easier and to spend more time on their core activity: risk analysis.
**What are you going to do?**
- Work together with the different stakeholders, business sponsors, and business teams to identify and prioritize what will bring the most value to our customers & brokers thanks to MiRA, for either Belgium or The Netherlands
- Simplify the prioritization process by acting as the owner of the product towards those stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Chief Product Owner and the other Product Owner to manage and deliver the vision of MiRA through incremental deliveries with an identified and measurable value:
- Develop the business case
- Defend the budget and staffing necessary to deliver
- Facilitate the high-level prioritization across all business stakeholders and teams of users
- Analyze business issues and opportunities to transform them into a product backlog and support the teams in delivering that backlog
- Analyze the business issues and opportunities
- Structure the backlog and delivery with an evolving roadmap based on the business value (with the business stakeholders) and aligned with the company strategy
- Define, clarify, refine, and prioritize the backlog of 1 or 2 multidisciplinary squads (data scientists, data engineers, business analysts, software engineers,and key users)
- Be supported by a Scrum Master and an agile coach to leverage Scrum and make the teams self-managing while ensuring the continuous creation of value
**What does the team and department look like?**
You will be working within our Business Transformation Unit, with a project team of 25 experts & developers, divided among 3 squads. You will interact and organize the prioritization with business stakeholders responsible for different parts of the MidCorp P&C value chain. This project will ensure that our underwriters will be able to work more efficiently and effectively, thanks to data and AI.

**What will you bring on the table?**
- 8 years experience as Product Owner or Project Manager or (Data) Product Manager, ideally with multinational teams
- Experience in insurance sector
- Sound understanding of Agile and Scrum
- Experience in Business Analysis, strong interest in understanding different elements of a value chain and especially underwriting processes
- Experience in drafting project roadmap and creating business case
- Strong intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving
- Very good structured communication, able to understand the details of business processes, as well as company strategy, and summarize it for top management as well as for developers or business experts
- Experience in leading prioritization or consensus among different stakeholders
- Your English is excellent, and you are fluent in French or Dutch
- Interest in data science, data engineering, software engineering
Optional but very nice to have:
- A certification like CSPO of Professional Product Owner
- Experience in MidCorp insurance, and/or underwriting, and/or pricing
