SUMMARY OF ROLE
The creation of the new MSOL Solutions organization requires a new team of Wireless & Integrity BDM’s who will develop, support, and implement our Wireless & Integrity Solutions, in collaboration with the outside sales leaders, to exceed bookings for key MSOL Wireless & Integrity Solutions and industries. Opportunities can range to support outside sales with join customer visits, have outside sales understand the solutions provided, that knowledge is kept current & up to date and identify any roadblocks that may hinder deployment of the solutions provided. The Wireless & Integrity BDM is agile and able to translate the market’s vision around Digital Transformation and capture opportunities on the Solutions we provide, have a basic understanding of Wireless Infrastructure and the Corrosion & Erosion portfolio. Analyze the market dynamics, competition and feedbacks to the Wireless &Integrity Director on what is needed to maximize our visibility on the solutions provide with the right messaging for his specific country.
The Wireless& Integrity BDM will also create a growth plan based on which Wireless & Integrity Solutions he/ she wants to deploy in the specific country ( “Solutions Menu”)
The Wireless & Integrity have a direct reporting line into the Sales Director (in country) and dotted line to the Wireless & Integrity Director (EU Level)
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands the Wireless & Integrity Solutions we provide to our End-users
- Work with sales offices and the business unit organization to develop growth plans and actions, assist MSOL sales teams, set and drive achievement of the agreed targets
- Align priorities and focus areas with the sales leadership and establish a prioritized strategic plan by industry, to ensure we tackle the right segments selectively
- Actively visit customers (either individually for more complicated solutions or in support with the outside sales person) to promote our Wireless & Integrity Solutions relevant for the targeted opportunity and actively engage in the selling process, communicate strategies and Solutions messaging
- Work with Wireless & Integrity Director to ensure understanding and guidance of our solutions is given, and maximize success rate with customers
- Active participation and ownership for Wireless & Integrity Solutions. Ensuring the sales channel has the necessary tools and support to position the technology within the industry and markets MSOL serve
- Understand market dynamics and customer processes / requirements: analyze market needs and trends, identify business opportunities, build business cases, participate in competitive intelligence, etc.
- Pinpointing Wireless & Integrity business development opportunities emerging through market conditions and research on the “next investment wave”
- Develop and / or coordinate collateral to support the Wireless & Integrity Solutions and technology; including, but not limited to, playbooks, presentations and technical advise to the organization
- Provide input to Marketing and Product Management with regards to customer needs for New Product Development, product Revision, and new or revised Service or Training offerings
- Provide technical Wireless & Integrity Solutions support to customers (internal and external) as required andconnect/match customers to experts based on their requirements
- Assist the field sales, project pursuit, industry and account management teams, as well as ADCs in winning orders (by visiting customers, presentations, etc.)
- Assist in the analysis of business trends, such as bookings, sales and backlog data, service levels, run rates. Quote conversion rates, etc., and propose corrective strategies where applicable
- Adhere to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance and Quality Management procedures, as well as the Emerson Ethics policy, with respect to all business activities
- Other responsibilities as reasonably required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Educated to Degree level in business, management or Master’s discipline or equivalent
- Experience of operating within Automation and Process industry
- Proven track record of leading and managing successful sales teams, indirectly and directly
- Demonstrate ability in strategic management and leadership
- Background and experience in Sales and Engineering
- Demonstrate understanding of business drivers behind process industry and plant automation and of decision process used in value creation
- Proven track record of establishing long term relationships with external customers
- Experience of developing successful cross functional relationships internally within a matrix organisation
- Ability to travel to fulfil duties of the role
- Language skills
- Fluent Dutch and French verbal and written
- English fluency to business standard
