To strengthen our **Rare Disease Medical Team**, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of**:MSL Rare Diseases Neurology **to be** **based in **Northern EU and focusing on Alps - Benelux.**

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) provides peer-level scientific exchange with clinicians and researchers working in neuromuscular and autoimmune diseases at UCB. This individual develops relationships of trust and mutual support built on common interests in fostering deep, science-driven understanding of autoimmune diseases such as myasthenia gravis, advancing potential new therapies, and mapping new strategies for patient value creation.

The MSL will thrive for an intimate understanding of the Eco-system needs & behaviors for the indication, act as the customer-facing, key point of contact and as the connector with UCB internal capabilities, and ultimately drive for co-creation within an Eco-system to achieve personalized & fit-for purpose solutions.

The position reports to the EU Field Medical Lead Rare Diseases Neurology

**You will** **contribute** **by**:

- Play a crucial role in the development of the rare disease MSL organization with focus on rare neurologic diseases starting with Myasthenia Gravis.
- Further develop and refine your scientific expertise and skillset through regular interaction with external and internal thought leaders.
- Manage and execute stakeholder engagement within a local region based on training, expertise, and individualized approaches to identifying local needs and opportunities.
- Engage regularly with: clinical trial sites, investigators, key opinion leaders, and patient advocacy organizations with the common goal of seeking to improve the lives of patients with rare diseases.
- Close connectivity and teamwork with Clinical Development Solutions/SEM teams to support investigational centers and create value in external stakeholders (experts and PIs) interactions
- Close connectivity and teamwork with Market Access (field) teams to support local access and create medical value in external stakeholders (Payer) interactions
- Identify local networks.
- Identify registers and PAs with potential to collaborate in our CTs
- Set awareness on Rare Disease Neurology Indications (starting with MG) and opportunities.
- Full territory mapping including identification of centers of excellence, KOLs and relevant stakeholders including Patient Groups/Associations and Medical Societies to include relevant stakeholders
- Customer insights: collect customer insights in a harmonized way using latest digital tools that feed into our DBT strategy of using AI-engines to increase value to HCP’s and patients (veeva/ORBIT)
- Host online medical education events as a facilitator to connect KOL with relevant peers, be open and drive evolution of remote connectivity and other digital channels
- Execute the medical plan with an agile mindset following but not limited to key principles such as customer/data centricity, MVP approaches, iterations and retrospectives. Act KPI driven
- Be proactive and identify new ways to bring value to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop evidence generation projects with CoE to differentiate UCB and its solutions
- Set long-term professional development goals within a company model and culture that fosters opportunities for career growth.
- Work independently and collaboratively in the field.
- Identify patients (diagnosed & undiagnosed)
- Build trust & credibility with Eco-systems developing relationships with leading academic researchers and KOLs thought leaders to achieve alignment on key research and clinical objectives.
- Act as enabler for science partnerships fostering appropriate discussion of UCB research objectives and findings through thought leader engagement and educational activities.
- Representing UCB at local, regional, and national professional and academic conferences where issues related to the diagnosis and treatment of myasthenia gravis and related autoimmune disorders are addressed.
