As part of our expanding development, we are currently looking to hire an **Investment Banking Associate** to reinforce our Corporate Finance team which operates from Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam & Luxembourg. You will work on a variety of M&A and capital markets transactions, as well as advisory assignments, for a broad range of companies in a diverse set of industries. Our deal team structure allows you to work closely with seasoned investment professionals and to be an integral part of our coverage and execution teams. This will quickly translate in significant impact and increased responsibility.
You will be based in Brussels, Belgium.
**Your Position**:
- You will collaborate with the IB Directors & Vice Presidents to contribute to the overall development and implementation of our IB growth strategy;
- You will take the lead in drafting client presentations, information memoranda, marketing materials as well as other transaction-related documents for (potential) clients and other third parties;
- You will create complex financial models and carry out in-depth analyses of companies, industries and markets;
- You will structure, coordinate and prepare impactful materials in time. Co-develop differentiating pitches and equity/debt storylines for discussion purposes, you will consolidate and assure the overall quality and consistency of inputs received from others;
- You will play an active role in coordinating M&A and Capital Markets transactions and collaboration between clients, advisors and other third parties;
- You will be actively involved in client interaction and project management responsibilities, clear vision of work between juniors, follow-up proposing project calendars, coordinating internal and external information flows at the appropriate level of seniority;
- You will contribute to the team’s prospection efforts by preparing tailored pitches and participating to their commercial presentation towards potential clients;
- You will play an active role in mastering the responsibilities of an analyst also the training, guiding and supervising; you will act as an role model;
- You will monitor and inform about market events, transactional practices and competition;
- You will develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues from other business lines, visiting regional offices, participating in cross-departmental meetings, proposing cross-collaboration and sell ideas;
- You will act as ambassador for Degroof Petercam.
**Your Profile**:
- You have strong analytical and numerical skills combined with a sound business acumen;
- You are passionate about M&A, capital markets and corporate strategy;
- You have up to 3 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate M&A, Consulting, Private Equity or other related Business Services;
- You have an outstanding academic background;
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
- You have a strong client-oriented mindset;
- You enjoy working in a team setting, you have strong interpersonal skills;
- You are committed to excellence and willing to maintain high professional standards;
- You are flexible, reliable, outgoing and stress resistant in a fast paced working environment;
- You are fluent in English as well as Dutch and French.
