**Mission**:
The Head of Pricing is responsible for the development and management of all pricing and steering strategies and issues within the overall company objectives of the Lufthansa Group and its joint venture partners. He/she is responsible for maximizing revenue through management of a Team and supporting the day-to-day activities. The Head of Pricing will be working with senior management to analyze and forecast pricing trends and margin steering strategies.
**Key Result Areas**:
- Key Result Area 1
Translates the objectives of Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa Group and the joint venture partners in practical working methods and guidelines and gives practical team support in order to stimulate creative ideas in the field of pricing and steering.
- Key Result Area 2
Supports cross-departmental communication and acts as an internal specialist and as a contact person towards other departments (Sales, Marketing, Revenue Accounting, Distribution, Operation and Network) on both strategic and tactical pricing and steering issues.
- Key Result Area 3
Follow up of information as delivered by the Business Performance department about demand and willingness to pay and gives appropriate instructions to the pricing analysts in order to ensure that pricing & steering activities are performed in line with the overall strategy to meet the business goals.
- Key Result Area 4
Balance strategic interests: solid market share development, especially on the P2P traffic, and revenue optimization.
- Key Result Area 5
Studies and monitors O&D results through regular quality checks and ensures that Pricing analysts’ planning and steering is in line with the company’s strategy.
- Key Result Area 6
Develops and communicates, based on input from and in collaboration with the Alliance Department, current and future codeshare SPA’s.
Fare distribution: Responsibility with the relevant team members of filing and distributing SN’s fares and EMDs into the system (also jointly with the outsourced parties).
- Key Result Area 7
Assists and supports the VP Pricing and Revenue Management and acts as back up during his absence.
- Key Result Area 8
Participates, gives support and suggests solutions to the ECC in case of major irregularities (strike, delays, incidents, ).
**Profile**:
- Master degree preferably in an economical/ mathematical environment or relevant experience built up in the airline industry
- Around 5 years of relevant airline experience and having built up previous experiences in the field of sales and revenue management, operations, ticketing and reservation
- In-depth knowledge of commercial processes and technical knowledge of the Revenue Management systems used
- Fluent in English, Dutch and/or French with very good English skills
- Knowledge of the applicable RM system, Reservation system and QL2 (webscraper tool)
- Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- High commercial success orientation in thinking and acting
