For the financial department in Brussels (Elsene) we are looking for a:
Group controller / consolidator / reporting manager
Your function
In your role as a group controller/consolidator/reporting manager, you will manage 2 business controllers based in our HQ and follow up the controllers/managers of our other subsidiaries. You will work closely with the controllers in the HQ to validate the quality of their work and suggest improvements. Furthermore you will be responsible for the quality of the group reporting which you will receive from all subsidiaries, you will merge and check the quality of the figures so that on a monthly basis we have an overview of our results of the group. You will suggest improvements and work on automation of these reports. Once a year you will be in charge of the consolidation of the group and you will need to work closely with everyone within finance to get the figures in the system. Per quarter the group reconciles the intercompany positions, you will supervise that this process runs smoothly. You will work for the group CFO and work closely with the chief accountant HQ in Brussels.
**Your responsibilities will include among others**:
Supervise the business controllers in the HQ and follow up the subsidiaries;
Verify the quality of the our group reporting;
Propose and implement improvements to reports (excel/sigma/Power BI);
Produce group management reports explaining the trends of the period;
Group the year budgets, midyear budgets of the group and forecasts to have a global picture ;
Manage the group consolidation (if needed with assistance of an external consultant);
Follow up the IC reconciliation per quarter;
Participate in the development/change management of our new software/ERP package;
Assist in delivering information to the external auditors;
Support the Group on other ad hoc needs/projects;
Follow up loans/leasing’s within the group to have a global view on finances and crosscheck with the provided reports of the subsidiaries.
**Profile**:
You have a bachelor or academic degree in Finance, Business management, Accounting or in ICT;
You have experience in BE GAAP;
You have more than 5 years of experience in accounting and controlling;
You are analytical, eager to learn;
You are hands-on and have ‘yes we can’ mentality;
You are IT minded;
You are a team player, but you are able to work independently as well;
You are a pro-active in suggesting improvements and very communicative;
You are fluent in Dutch, French & English;
You have an expert knowledge in Excel and possibly in Power Bi.
