**Job Description**:
TOMRA Food (TF) has the ambition to accelerate its profitable and sustainable growth agenda. To achieve this TOMRA Food wants to reimagine its way of working to deliver on an ambitious set of targets built around customer proximity, leading edge digitally enabled technology and an effective organisation structure.
Critical to success will be the ability to work across all levels of the organization and the development of effective working relationships with corporate strategy and Business Development, TF leadership, project teams, Communications, People & Organization, and all employees at large.
**Position Overview**
The Director Strategy TOMRA FOOD will:
- Lead the TF Strategic Agenda for sustainable profitable growth, formalizing the strategic-planning process, and leading the development of the strategy, translating it for people across business areas and functions in TOMRA Food
- Coordinate with key stakeholders both internally and externally (customers, digital team, sales, and product development) to prepare strategies that will outperform market growth by positioning TOMRA as the “Best in Class”
- Develop deep insight and knowledge about the food industry to assist in developing new business opportunities
- Act as a coach and a developer of Strategic competencies
**Roles and Responsibilities**
DEVELOP THE TF GROWTH STRATEGY
- Analyse and understand business fundamentals, stakeholders, and political/business decision-making processes to generate a strong growth strategy anchored around our customer needs
- Analyse, measure and monitor the competitive landscape to ensure TF is well-informed of all market developments and able to both pre-empt and seize opportunities
- Build a comprehensive roadmap balancing organic growth and acquisition strategy
- Collaborate and lead the Business Area teams to develop their respective complementary strategies
- Ensure cross fertilisation and optimise synergies, to scale the overall excellence and impact
- Identify new business model opportunities & synergies globally
- Identify the key strategic drivers and quantify the implications of this on our business environment
- Identify how to drive food supply chain actor’s engagement, and influence key stakeholders
DEVELOP A STRONG COMMUNITY
- Propose the necessary organisation required to deliver on our ambitious goals, and build future leaders for TOMRA
- Act as a coach and mentor to build internal strategic competencies and foster engagement
- Actively demonstrate the TOMRA values, leadership principles and role model safety
**Qualifications**:
- 5 years in a leading global strategy consultancy, followed by a successful corporate strategy role.
- You love to communicate and create an impactful stories
- Communicates in a clear, precise, and structured way; speaks with authority and conviction; presents effectively
- Analysis & Judgement: Quickly understands and analyses complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgements
- Brings a mix of global strategy consultant, followed by a successful internal strategy role.
- Constructive Teamwork: Cooperates well with others; shares knowledge, experiences, and information; supports others in the pursuit of team goals
- Vision & Strategy: Develops an ambitious but realistic business vision and translates it into a workable strategy
- Initiative & Responsibility: Acts on own initiative, makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results
- Experience with effective management of multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work productively across multiple departments, levels, geographies, and personalities within the organization and with partners
- Personal presence: Ability to present and confidently communicate internally and with customers
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Exhibited dedication to safety
