**The Role**

Within the New Product Development department in Airtec, we are looking for an experienced Project Leader to join the Programs and Projects Management Team.

This is a team of Project and Program Leaders that lead Projects and Programs of any Product and Technology and Cross Team Topics, within the New Product Development Function.
- As a Project Leader you will be accountable for the realization of the project and report to the management steering committee for product development projects. You closely follow up and manage the project budget, timing, product functional requirements and cost.
- You’ll lead, motivate and steer the project team throughout the whole product development process. You guide the product from concept to industrialization: from the specifications of the project, to a conceptual design, prototype testing, production process development, to test batches and finally follow-up after the start of serial production.
- You work according to the Concept to Product process to ensure that the demanded product and process quality is met, by guiding the team to take key decisions with the created knowledge and creating the needed deliverables.
- To achieve your objectives, you work in a team. The project team members or PTM typically consists of technology engineers, designers, test engineers, lab mechanics, representatives from other departments as purchasing, production, logistics etc. and a quality engineer. Possibly and most likely your PTM will be international.
- You represent the project team and the Airtec Division towards internal customers and suppliers.
- In order to validate and confirm the product performance and functionality, you setup a test plan and evaluate test results in cooperation with the test engineer and the technology engineer
- You guide and focus the technical part of the project as well, as developed by the technical PTM members. You safeguard the technical coherence during the design phase, supported by your team members and our in-house developed tools.
- You nurture cross-departmental feedback and input to optimize the cost and value of product design for all our stakeholders (from supplier, to production, to our internal and external customers.

Within a product development Organisation you will work in an international and multidisciplinary environment. In your Project Team, you you will work together with specialists from different disciplines like mechanical engineers, designers, structural engineers, rotordynamic specialists, test engineers, project managers, software engineers, process egineers, productionson complex problems and challanging projects.

Within the Programs and Projects Management Team, you will develop further Project management skills (controlling plan and budget, communicatin with external and internal stakeholders), exchanging best practices and getting guidance. This in order to achieve successfull new products development and industrialisation, within quality requirements.

**What we expect of you?**

Experience & Education
- Experience as a project leader/manager in a technical environment is a must.
- Experience in a product development context is a plus
- Experience in compressors is not required.
- You have a technical background, preferably in mechanical engineering, supported by strong analytical skills.
- You communicate Fluently in English.
- Master in engineering or equivalent through experience
- Project Management Certification is a plus.
