**YOUR TASKS**
- You will be a key player in a large externally-funded project with high translational potential.
- Perform research on mRNA/LNP vaccine production and analytical characterization.
- Independently establish and perform cutting edge analytical methods.
- Regularly evaluate, summarize, and present project results.
- Write scientific papers and present results at conferences.
- Contribute to tasks within the department such as supervision of internships and master students.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- You hold a thesis-based doctorate (obtained max. 6 years ago. This term of 6 years is determined by the date written on the above-mentioned required diploma), preferably in the domain of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- You have demonstratable experience in the field of lipid nanoparticles, mRNA vaccines and their physicochemical characterization.
- Experience with advanced analytics like Cryo-TEM, FFF-MALS or UPLC-CAD is an asset.
- You have a multi-disciplinary mindset.
- You have strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
- You have a passion for experimental research and are able to organize, conduct, analyze and report experiments independently.
- You are highly motivated, efficient and result oriented.
- You enjoy working in a collaborative fashion.
- Experience with project management is an advantage.
- Experience in industry is an advantage

**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**
- We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 2 years
- Your contract will start on 1/01/2024 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master's degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
