We are ground breaking new digital technologies such as 4G/5G mobile communications, cryptography, cloud computing and big data for use in physical protection systems, and critical information systems.
Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.
**Blue Team Tools**:
**Mission**:
As a Blue team intern, you will be tasked with implementing and deploying blue team tools within our CyberLab. This project aims to configure cyber tools in order to detect and respond against potential attacks built around realistic scenarios.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. IBM QRadar Implementation: Interns will work alongside our experienced Blue Team members to implement IBM QRadar, a leading SIEM solution used by Thales. This project will involve configuring QRadar to match our organization's attack scenarios, ensuring that it effectively detects and alerts us to potential threats.
2. ELK Stack Implementation: Interns will also have the opportunity to deploy the Elastic Stack (ELK) for comprehensive log management and analysis. This initiative will enable interns to create visually appealing dashboards that provide real-time insights into our security posture.
3. Enhanced Detection Strategies: In addition to beautiful dashboards, interns will actively participate in reworking our Blue Team's detection strategies. This will involve developing advanced techniques for threat detection, including custom rules and correlations, to proactively identify security incidents.
4. Incident Cleanup Options: Beyond detection, interns will be tasked with refining our incident response processes, focusing on efficient and effective cleanup options. This practical experience will empower interns to manage security incidents from detection to resolution.

General profile of the student: Master/Bachelor in Security/Software/Telecom/Electrical Engineer
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Passion for cybersecurity and a keen interest in emerging technologies.
- Strong interest in SIEM, SOC, and cybersecurity
- Knowledge of network configuration and Linux
