Role Purpose
The Corporate Communication Manager is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communication strategies and plans to create employee engagement, build and engage communities, enhance the position of Sibelco’s leadership, support change and transformation, and enhance and protect Sibelco’s reputation towards internal and external audiences. They advise other employees and management on the correct use of communication techniques, channels, and tools in support of the overall strategy and objectives of Sibelco.
The Corporate Manager also uses creative storytelling skills across channels to create positive change in the organization and contributes to Sibelco’s success by enhancing focus on the right aspects of our company culture and business objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Creates and delivers communications projects aimed at internal or external audiences, in support of the objectives of internal (other teams) and external (e.g., media) partners, in line with the overall Communication strategy of Sibelco- Serves as liaison with agencies, consultancy firms, suppliers- Develops and deploys company information through a combination of channels and media such as an internal/external company website, Annual Report, posters, video etc.- Advises Communication leadership on the optimal channel mix for specific communication campaigns (internal and external) based on extensive knowledge of the target audiences- Manages specific communication channels and tools such as Yammer, Mentimeter, ourSibelco news feed, etc.- Promotes and protects communication, branding and style guidelines towards all Sibelco employees- Measures and reports on results of communication campaigns- Prepares and supports the deployment of information and training sessions on specific communication-related topics- Business partner for specific parts of the business (clusters, functions). Ensures that the internal and external communications objectives of these entities are achieved- Works closely with Corporate Branding team to ensure consistency and optimal use of content on internal and external communication channels- Ensures the correct use and adoption of Sibelco brand assets with non-customer facing stakeholders (employees, media, corporate departments, sites)- Contributes to the creation and deployment of communication training to relevant audiences within Sibelco (e.g., leadership team, Partner network, etc)
Educational Background and prior Professional Experience:
- University degree in Communication or other relevant field- +10 years prior experience in a global communications role (e.g., internal communication, external communication, marketing, PR, public affairs, media relations, event management, corporate training)- Expertise and experience in crisis communication and/or community management is an asset
Language Requirements:
- English - native speaker level proficiency - excellent verbal and writing skills- Proficiency in other languages (especially Dutch, French, Scandinavian languages, Spanish, Polish, Italian) is an asset, although not required
