Principal Regulatory Specialist

**Key responsibilities**
- Influence upcoming chemicals initiatives with significant impact to reduce costs
- Built extended customer relationship, to support growth with 650 CEFIC member companies
- Work with GR, RA and trade associations to set up the regulatory strategy for the European
- Engage directly with legislative & regulatory authorities on policies and regulations affecting our business
- Engage indirectly through trade associations (e.g., CEFIC, AISE) to monitor & influence on broader scale
- Informs leadership of global trends, opportunities, and developments.
**Activities in details**:
- Serve as an expert in European Chemical and Water Regulations and help to manage Ecolab’s portfolio by mitigating risk, ensuring compliance and building opportunities
- Organize and lead cross-functional authorization project teams addressing key business needs with assigned resources
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant EU institutions and government agencies, consultants, trade associations and industrial allies.
- Provide regulatory surveillance (intelligence) and business impact assessment of emerging regulations, actively engaging and communicating to stakeholders within the organization
- Manage directly and via cross-functional teams company-relevant policy and legislative issues and opportunities at the EU and Member State levels with EU govt institutions.
- Represent Ecolab at trade associations and liaise with authorities
- Provide training and partner with business to enable growth with compliance to European local regulations
- Build relationship with key business stakeholders of the division and functions
