**Description of the function
**What is the job?
Being a warm welcome that is the start of an unforgettable guest experience
You will welcome IHG Rewards Club members and repeat guests, in person or on the phone.
You will take and manage guest bookings, offering them upselling opportunities and telling them about ways to improve their stay
Handle cash and credit transactions
Get every stay off to a good start by quickly checking guests in and out - taking IDs, handing out room keys and checking and releasing safes
Stay one step ahead of guests' needs - register and act on their preferences, and handle their messages and requests.

**Profile**:
Communication skills - guests will come to you with both concerns and compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to
Your problem-solving ability will turn problems into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories
Fluent in the local language - additional language skills would be great, but not essential
Reading and writing skills, basic maths and computer knowledge Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are part of the job
You have a high school diploma or a college degree. A college or university degree is a plus but not essential
Experience - ideally you will have worked for at least one year in a reception or guest services department
Strength - you may be required to lift, push and pull large objects up to 23 kg. This may involve bending and kneeling.
