**About the role**:
As Programme Officer you will be responsible for leading advocacy and relations with EU institutions. Your responsibility will involve organizing and executing advocacy rounds focused on target countries or specific thematic issues (for human rights defenders and/or civil society actors).

The Programme Officer is based in Brussels and reports directly to the Head of Programme Unit Europe.

The role offers great variety, including work tasks such as:

- Drafting of briefings and program related documents
- Delivering of training on EU advocacy and lobbying for human rights defenders,
- Developing partnerships with different donors, representing CRD at all events and meetings in Brussels, including in Human Rights and Democracy Network
- Following and analysing human rights situation in Europe overall
- Analysing and reporting on EU policies related to human rights
- Regular communication with colleagues from the Europe team
- Communication and advocacy assistance to other regional departments (eg. Latin America, Eurasia, Asia, Africa)
- Administrative work related to Brussels office.

To be suitable for this position you have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations or similar
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience within_ _advocacy work
- Fluency in English (orally and written, level C1)
- Solid skills in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, PPT, Word)

It is a merit, if you have:

- Experience in working in/on the Western Balkans and/or Turkey
- Fundraising experience (especially for the EU funded projects)
- Fluency in Spanish/French
