Job purpose & objectives:
As the strategic technology partner to the GM and Affiliate Management Team you will be directing the BTS investment strategy to ensure it is aligned with business priorities and embedded across the business.

You will lead, influence, and evolve the Affiliate’s BTS operating model to maximize business outcomes and identify opportunities for delivering innovative technical and digital capabilities.

Tasks and responsibilities:

- Lead the affiliate digital business ambition and ensure stable and optimized technology environment to achieve business outcomes.
- In support of the enterprise mission determines the affiliate BTS operating model to foster business-oriented and digital-ready culture, mindsets, and practices.
- Contributes actively to affiliate strategy and business capability strategic planning. Leads the development of the affiliate BTS strategic plan and roadmap. Ensures integration with the enterprise’s strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans.
- Ensures BTS capabilities are delivered reliably, sustainably, cost effectively and securely.
- Directs the design and implementation of the affiliate BTS operating model, organizational structure, and governance process. Uses influencing and negotiation skills to create synergies across the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals.
- Stays current with new external technologies and platforms and the enterprise technology portfolio to provide direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated, and introduced that enable the retirement of legacy systems
- Develops and controls the Affiliate’s BTS budget ensuring the technology investment is consistent with the affiliates overall strategic objectives and is within plan.
- Participates and partners with the business leadership team to drive culture change in support of digital business transformation.

ABV-00
- Enhances BTS’s capabilities by leveraging resources, both internally and externally. Directs the development of the BTS sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management for affiliate level engaged vendors.
- Manages talent across the BTS team with a continuous learning mindset, ensuring capacity aligned to demand and workload and encourages growth and development.
- Leads the establishment and execution of a digital workplace strategy that enables the development of digital dexterity in the workforce. Ensures employees have the tools and work environment to be more engaged, productive, and effective.

Required skills and competencies
- Bachelor’s or master degree or equivalent work experience
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate vision that inspires and motivates staff and lead the strategy execution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business partners
- Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of an enterprise and its business units
- Effective influencing and negotiation skills in a complex multinational environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
- Good understanding of current and emerging technologies and how they may be applied to the commercial affiliate to drive digital business
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied
- Ability to partner with geographically diverse teams and overcome the culture clashes that may arise
- Ability to identify and leverage resources internally and externally to the affiliate to enhance capabilities that drive digital business
- Expertise in budget planning and financial management

Other competencies and skills
- 10 years or more of experience in either business areas or within BTS.
- Three to five years of leadership responsibilities.
- Languages: English, Dutch and French
- Preferably three or more years of experience in related, industry-leading, large, cross-functional teams or enterprise-wide programs, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts
