We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Governance Officer to join our team and **drive continuous improvement in data quality** within our organization.
In this role, you will:
- **collaborate closely** with cross-functional teams, including IT, business experts, legal professionals, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective data governance practices.
- You will be responsible for defining and implementing** data governance frameworks, policies, and standards** that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- By leveraging your expertise, you will **implement advanced data management tools**, such as data dictionaries and data catalogs, to enhance data discovery, data mining, and request management processes.
**As a Data Governance Officer, you will**:
- monitor and audit your designated data area to **ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance** (with security, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR.)
- work closely with data experts to **enrich the data catalog** with valuable insights, ensuring it remains a comprehensive and reliable resource for the organization.
- Through your efforts, you will champion data governance best practices, **sharing knowledge and promoting a data-driven culture** across the organization.
- In addition to your governance responsibilities, you will actively contribute to the **construction and management of our data platform.**:
- By staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, you will provide valuable insights and recommendations for **enhancing our data infrastructure** and ensuring its scalability, security, and performance.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- Affinity with Data & IT, with a background in Economics, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience of **3-5 years in data management**, with a **focus on data governance**.
- A **client-oriented mindset** with a strong focus on delivering value to stakeholders.
- Excellent **analytical thinking and problem-solving** abilities, enabling you to navigate complex data challenges.
- **Results-oriented approach** with a track record of achieving objectives and driving continuous improvement.
- Exceptional **collaboration skills** and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Managerial courage to address challenges, drive positive change, and advocate for data governance best practices.
