**Job Description**:
Reporting to the CFO & CEO, the Chief Procurement Officer will be responsible for continuing the newly defined procurement model effectively work and ensuring its effective use on Group level. In this position he/she will work closely with the Business leadership, central based category managers and local buyers. He/she will build effective cross functional working relationships. Besides taking part in the upstream of further project design and implementation, his/her role will be to introduce and develop purchasing best practices, processes and tools and bring the human capital to the required level.

The Chief Procurement Officer is member of the Contracting Board of BESIX Group and participates in the Regional Synergy Board.

***Specific tasks will include**:

- Drive execution of the Global Business Driven procurement strategy at all levels in the company. Owns the key supplier selection process, while ensure all appropriate stakeholders are engaged during this process and that the selection is adequately documented. Stakeholder management will be a key driver to success.
- Ensure that buying behaviour is based on the total-cost-of-ownership model, taking in account the very specific parameters related to the contracting business i.e. Geography, shape of buildings, climate etc. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure the effective implementation of the new ERP system and the newly defined purchase governance model.
- Deliver and report ongoing savings and value-add to the concerned stakeholders in the business entities and to Top Leadership Team of the company.
- Implement Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers across categories to foster innovation, drive supplier performance and ensure continuous improvement.

**Your competencies**
- You will be end-accountable for the quality and professionalism of your purchase service delivery and will demonstrate full ownership.
- You are influencing and able to reach consensus.
- You are a great negotiator and can deal with complex and difficult customers’ demands.
- You will be able to evaluate performances of your purchase service on a regular basis, keeping an update of your internal customers feed-back.
- You are communicative and provide your internal customers pro-actively with preventive information.
- You lead and manage projects which are complex and significant in terms of time and budget and report to senior management.
- You interpret and evaluate alternative solutions based on risk management.
- You have direct budget responsibility.

**Your profile**
- You have a university degree, by preference completed with an MBA or additional training in Procurement/Supply Chain.
- You have excellent relevant experience within a multinational and complex environment. By preference more than 10 years of relevant experience
- You've interest in the construction or civil works sector or a previous experience in this sector, or related sectors in terms of approach and scale.
- You are a talented negotiator, excellent people manager.
- You are persevering, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial combined with a strong sense of responsibility and flexibility.
- You have a very good knowledge of English and French or Dutch is an asset.
- You are willing to travel to work abroad for short missions and business trips.
