You have a passion for mechanics/technology and wish to work in a vibrant working environment. As Technical Fleet manager, you are responsible for the maintenance and all technical interventions on the ECS equipment: chassis (1.200), containers and trailers (10.000), trucks (45). The focus is on technical/operational management and coaching your team of about 40 technical staff and about 5 administrative staff.
**Jouw rol & verantwoordelijkheden**
- You are responsible for coordinating the work in the 5 garage departments in Zeebrugge and bear the final responsibility
- You monitor the in and out of service of the rolling stock & containers
- You monitor the management and maintenance of the technical installations
- You manage the budget and think critically about the needs (costing, purchasing, etc.)
- You have periodic consultation regarding the tasks performed and KPI’s to be achieved
- You provide the team with the necessary training to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations
- You have a finger on the pulse mentality and closely follow up the work planning and leave arrangements of your team
- On a regular basis, you consult with the department heads and your administrative team about possible improvements in both the short and long term
- You promote and stimulate cleanliness and safety on the work floor
- You initiate improvement processes to improve productivity/safety
- You are responsible for compliance with procedures
**Jouw profiel**
- You have a master’s degree or equivalent through experience
- You have at least 3 years' experience as a manager in an technical environment
**Jouw competenties**
- You are a real people manager and have a hands-on mentality
- You have a healthy dose of assertiveness and combine this with excellent communication skills
- You are efficient and result-oriented
- You are strong in planning and organizing
- You take initiative and enjoy a challenge
