**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining a high level of productivity in the laboratory setting.
- Conducts independently and autonomously scientific experiments and recommends follow-up experiments.
- Developing and optimizing processes seeking the safest, most sustainable and robust process possible.
- Builds process understanding using sophisticated process analytical tools (nIR, RAMAN, FBRM,).
- Independently generates and interprets analytical data to monitor chemical reactions and quality of produced materials. Among others the following techniques are used: LC and GC, NMR, mass spectroscopy.
- Works seamlessly with other functions to generate data supporting the process development (Safety-group, process and production engineers, analysts,).
- Supports the upscaling team during the execution of the larger scale batches (mini plant, pilot plant, large scale manufacturing).
- Actively and independently communicates data and project status updates through a variety of channels including in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and virtual team communication channels.
- Author data reports to support patent filings and publication of peer-reviewed journal articles
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor in Organic Chemistry
**Experience and Skills**:
**Required**:
- Industrial experience in a process development or production environment is a plus.
- Consistent track record of achievement in organic synthesis, with a deep knowledge of modern synthetic and analytical techniques
- Independent thinking and the ability to collaborate effectively in different environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparation of presentations.
