As part of its activities, our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager.
The mission must start as soon as possible, and for a duration of 1 year with possibilities of extension, full-time.
Part of the mission can, in consultation with the manager, be done remotely but presence on the Gosselies site for a minimum of 2 days per week is mandatory.
Additional days of on-site presence may possibly be requested from the consultant, depending on the needs of the service (on an ad hoc basis).
As the Gosselies site is not easily accessible by public transport, possession of a driving license and a vehicle will be necessary for travel. Travel to other sites is possible.
**Context**:
The energy transition (intermittent production and electrification of uses - mobility, heating) brings numerous challenges to the client relating to the design / supervision / management of networks and the establishment of investment strategies to strengthen / replace / restructure its networks of distribution.
To face these new challenges, the client must carry out a major business transformation to evolve the way in which it carries out its “Networks” activities.
In this context, the cient is looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage the SmartGrid program projects relating to the Low Voltage network.
“Low Voltage” projects revolve around 3 main themes:
- Know: improve the knowledge base and documentation of Low Voltage networks through innovative practices and means (artificial intelligence, etc.)
- Diagnose: measure the adequacy between low voltage networks and the use that is/will be made of them in order to prioritize short, medium and long term investments.
- Design: set up an organization, processes and tools to adapt the design/sizing practices of Low Voltage networks in line with new customer uses in the context of the energy transition (short, medium, long term)
**Responsibilities**:
In his role as project manager, the consultant will be responsible for:
- Project plan management:_
- Prepare the project plan (objectives, scope, organization & resources, planning & milestones, business case, tolerance levels, risks & constraints, communication, organizational impacts, etc.) under the supervision of the program manager, in accordance with the mandate issued.
- Present and validate the project plan by the steering committee in collaboration with the program manager.
- Report and collaborate with the program manager to ensure proper management and monitoring of the project.
- Collaborate with other program project managers and the program manager in order to identify and manage interdependencies with other projects, also for all the client's projects.
- Work in close collaboration with business teams to understand the developments brought about by the energy transition and their implications on the low voltage network.
- Manage and supervise the implementation of transformation projects, ensuring their harmonious integration into daily activity.
- Prepare and present the status report to the project committee in order to ensure good operational monitoring and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Prepare and present end-of-phase reports and exception reports to the Steering Committee to ensure the good direction and general integrity of the project.
- Be responsible for the overall progress of the project, compliance with timing & budget and use of resources.
Initiate corrective measures if necessary.
- Identify and obtain support and advice necessary for the management, planning and control of the project.
- Comply with and ensure compliance with the defined project methodology (including the Testing and Change Management methodology) - Prince2 and program management (MSP)
- Be responsible for project administration and coordinate the actions of suppliers.
- Operational management:_
- Establish the Project Initiation Document in accordance with the mandate issued and coordinate the production of defined deliverables.
- Monitor the progress and evolution of the project to ensure it is delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with quality expectations.
- Manage risks and problems, in particular by developing a contingency and mitigation plan.
- Help identify resources. Lead and motivate members of the project team throughout the duration of the project.
- Ensure collaboration between the different parties during the duration of the project: stakeholders, architects, development team, business, change expert, etc.
- Obtain acceptance and validation of the key project deliverable by the responsible parties.
- Prepare the lessons learned report.
- Prepare any necessary follow-up actions and recommendations.
- Prepare the end of project report.
