Senior Developer

As part of its activities, our client is looking for a Senior Developer / Software Architect for the data platform on Azure.
This is a full-time assignment lasting a minimum of one year (with the possibility of extensions) and starting as soon as possible.
Part of the assignment may, in consultation with the manager, involve teleworking, but a minimum presence of 2 days per week at the Gosselies site is mandatory. Additional days on site may be requested of the consultant, depending on the needs of the department (on an ad hoc basis). As the Gosselies site is not easily accessible by public transport, a driving licence and a vehicle are preferable for travel.
**Main activities as Software Architect**:
- Contribute to the technical development of the Data Platform with the support of the technical architects and the "Data" solution architect;
- Estimating the effort involved in development activities at the time of scoping the request;
- Defining the guidelines for data transformation in the Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Apache Spark;
- Define the guidelines for data storage in "Azure SQL Server" & "Azure Storage Account (Data Lake)";
- Together with the team in charge of the Azure Platform (technical architects), set up operational and cost monitoring for the Data Platform;
- Defining the guidelines for writing Azure Data Factory import flows (CDC, SAP Connector, etc.);
- Designing, implementing and maintaining the various frameworks (e.g. automated unit tests) and drafting the related guidelines;
- Monitoring, supporting, controlling and optimising developments;
- Responsible for the consistency of all developments, and for challenging developments carried out by the team ;
- Keeping a technological watch on Stack Azure.
**Main activities as Senior Developer**
- Contributing to "Vault" modelling;
- Establishing the technical design, based on Vault-type modelling, with a view to implementation via Azure SQL Database;
- Establish the unit test plan (automatable) for the solution;
- Contribute to continuous improvement (development guidelines);
- Coach more junior developers;
- Participate in estimating the effort involved in development activities when scoping the request;
- Developing Azure Data Factory import flows (CDC, SAP Connector, etc.);
- Developing data transformation flows via Microsoft "Azure Data Factory";
- Optimising transformation queries, in particular taking into account the associated Azure costs;
- Monitoring/executing unit tests;
- Write technical documentation.
