In een tijd van steeds snellere opwarming van de aarde hebben we geen tijd te verliezen om de mondiale thermostaat lager te zetten. Carbon Market Watch is met zijn deskundigheid op het gebied van koolstofbeprijzing in een unieke positie om zowel de inspanningen om de uitstoot te verminderen te volgen als beleidsmaatregelen voor te stellen die tot een werkelijk koolstofneutrale toekomst zullen leiden.

**Doel van de functie.**

We zijn op zoek naar een Finance Manager voor een voltijdse functie die in april of zo snel mogelijk start. De Finance Manager zal in België werken vanuit ons kantoor in Brussel (2 dagen/week, onder normale omstandigheden)) en op afstand van thuis uit. Zij/hij rapporteert aan onze Executive Director.

**Taken en verantwoordelijkheden**
- Onderhouden van financiële en administratieve systemen om te zorgen voor soepele en efficiënte processen
- Verrichten van de dagelijkse financiële administratie (bestellingen, factuurverwerking, kasstroomcontroles, betalingen)
- Bijhouden van de boekhouding in het boekhoudsysteem in overeenstemming met de wet
- en regelgeving
- Op kwartaalbasis monitoren van budget versus gemaakte kosten en helpen bij het plannen van uitgaven
- Betrouwbare financiële informatie verschaffen voor de besluitvorming
- Ontwikkelen van organisatiebudget en projectbudgetten voor subsidieaanvragen
- Ervoor zorgen dat de procedures en het beleid van CMW in overeenstemming zijn met de administratieve en financiële richtlijnen van de subsidiegevers en de nationale wet
- en regelgeving
- Coördineren van financiële rapportage en naleving met projectpartners (EU & filantropische subsidies);
- Voorbereiden van financiële rapportages aan subsidiegevers en interne stakeholders
- Voorbereiding van de jaarlijkse onafhankelijke audit, projectaudits en BTW-verklaringen
- Coördinatie met het sociaal secretariaat (beperkt)
- Coördinatie met het interne operationele team over kantoorbeheertaken (beperkt)

**Vereiste vaardigheden en ervaring**
- Minstens 3 jaar ervaring in een financiële en boekhoudkundige functie bij voorkeur in een Belgische organisatie met internationale banden
- Ervaring met boekhouding op basis van subsidies
- Ervaring met Europese Commissie contracten
- Grondige kennis van boekhoudsoftware, zoals Winbooks, en Microsoft Excel
- Beheersing van het Engels (omgangstaal in de organisatie) en het Frans
- Vermogen om zelfstandig te werken
- Goede interpersoonlijke vaardigheden
- Identificatie met de doelstellingen van de organisatie
- Een betrouwbare en verantwoordelijke werkhouding
