**The Job**

We are looking for a rockstar to help us build the next generation instruments to propel gene therapy research forward. Jump on this rare opportunity to be a key scientist on our all-star product development team in Ghent. Work on products from the early stages all the way to the final launch, developing cool science and overcoming technical challenges along the way. **Responsibilities**
- Hands-on lab work to drive product development from the concept to commercial launch
- Work with engineers on prototyping and developing new hardware and software features
- Develop and execute product validation and test protocols
- Communicate data and results within and outside the product development team
- Be the science voice and key participant in focused core teams that drive towards product launch

**Qualifications**
- Master in Biochemistry and Biotechnology or similar, or can prove comparable skills through experience
- 3-5 years of experience in working with cross-functional product development teams
- Experience with analytical techniques (e.g., UV-Vis, DLS, SLS, fluorescence assays, etc.)
- Experience with Nanoparticles/Gene therapy is a plus
- Hands-on experience with viral vectors is a plus
- Notions of bioinformatics and/or basic programming knowledge is a plus
- Ready to take ownership
- Fluent in English
- Excellent problem solving, documentation, organizational, teamwork, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Flexible and ready to do whatever needs to get done when the going gets tough, to help us succeed in meeting our customer’s needs
