**Context**
IBA is currently looking for a laboratory manager for the operation and maintenance of the various laboratories and equipment available in Louvain-la-Neuve to enable prototyping, testing and validation. This is key to support innovation and improvement of our products.
As laboratory manager, you ensure the day-to-day organization of all laboratory and test equipment whilst keeping a long-term vision and goal aligned with the ambition of building a welcoming « Innovation Lab » environment.

**You will**
- Operate and maintain existing laboratories (e.g. you act as single point for contact with building & facilities and EHS teams, you prepare and follow the laboratory budget, you collaborate closely with laboratory users);
- Capture needs from the protontherapy roadmap and research projects;
- Develop Lab capabilities;
- Prioritize and propose new capabilities in correlation to roadmap and research needs;
- Seize opportunities to put them at the agenda (get sponsorship, prepare budget and project plan, defend them to PIC with support of ID CIDO and directors);
- Act as project manager to bring these new capabilities to reality;
- Facilitate projects and participate in testing (e.g. by easing fast prototyping);
- Offer these services to other IBA business units (Industrial Solutions and Radiopharma Solutions).

**You have**:
- Master degree in science or engineering;
- Experience in budget preparation and project management;
- Awareness or sensitivity to EHS problematics;
- Knowledge in Medical and Electromechanical Systems is an important asset;
- First experience in working in radiation-controlled areas is welcome;
- Excellent communication skills in French. English is required as well.
