**About the company**: Our client is a leading food company specializing in two different food categories. With a robust presence in Belgium, the company offers a diverse range of products they committed to a customer-centric approach and sustainability. They continue to lead in the competitive food industry, providing consumers across Belgium with delicious and responsible food choices.
**About the job**: As Retail Category Analyst, you are the first point of contact with your portfolio of the retailers. Working in tandem with the Key Account Manager, you will draw up an annual customer plan for the retailer, and monitor and execute this plan in terms of assortment, promotions, planograms, etc., in order to maximize the performance of the category and brand with the customer.
**Your main responsibilities will include among others**:
- Developing the brand's category development plan with support from the marketing team, including market reviews, innovation presentations, assortment recommendations, and trade-marketing/promotional/on-line visibility actions.
- Managing assortment and promotional levers for customers administratively.
- Analyzing business data and providing insightful information on categories, trends, and analysis.
- Collaborating with the sales force to ensure effective execution of the customer plan.
- Evaluating brand performance, conducting post-evaluation of implemented actions.
- An academic background in economics (business administration, marketing).
- Previous experience in Category Management/Retail is a plus, but a solid background in marketing and/or sales can also bring added value.
- Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in working with Nielsen/Excel, with a strong focus on precision and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, and a results-oriented approach.
- Fluent in Dutch with a good commend of French.
