As a Business Unit Leader, you are responsible to empower your business unit team (operators and super users) to deliver reliable service excellence at the most efficient cost. You ensure that the activity in your business unit is aligned with site objectives, daily production plan and resources allocated. You are involved in the continuous process improvement related to operations and interact positively with the other departments

ExternalQualificationsStr
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a logistics environment
- You have a Bachelor, preferably in management and/or logistics, or equivalent experience
- You understand inventory/distribution management and flow of goods principles within a warehouse (command preparation)
- You have a knowledge of a WMS (RP/JDA is a plus)/WCS system and an ERP system (Baan-Oracle is a plus)
- You have a good knowledge of MS Office
- You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of English
- You are people oriented, good communicator & proactive
- You have leadership and respect for others
- You are willing to learn and oriented improvement & results
- You are accountable and equitable/impartial
- You are stress resilient and flexible

InternalQualificationsStr

Technical skills
- Understanding of inventory/distribution management and flow of goods principles within a warehouse (command preparation)
- Information Technology - Knowledge of a WMS (RP/JDA is a plus) /WCS system and an ERP system (Baan-Oracle is a plus)
- Good knowledge of MS Office

InternalResponsibilitiesStr
- Be responsible (in shift) for a business unit.
- Empower his/her team by providing regular, relevant, assertive, and efficient communication and follow-up (daily catch up, 1to1, monthly feedback and mid contract review, performance review). By tracking operators’ productivity indicators and behaviors, he/she analyzes data to provide feedback and recommendation to the management.
- Develop his/her team by providing coaching, training and guidance, respect of the versatility plan of operators provided by Workforce.
- Lead as an example and treat all staff with respect & equity.
- Collaborate with peers (BULs, Shift process leaders, workforce) to deliver high and stable service & productivity.
- Ensure alignment and consistency with his/her peer from the second shift in the BU management.
- Follow his/her KPIs.
- Follow his/her team to guaranty that work schedule and break are put in place and respected.
- Inform his/her line management and/or the related department about all type of incidents (material, system or human) and provide end of shift relevant feed-back.
- Provide his/her involvement and his/her support to the Lean strategy and One Vision & shuttle programs.
- Ensure QA policy is applied and respected in his/her business unit (housekeeping, procedures, deviation, compliance ).
- Ensure that processes related to his/her BU activities are documented and updated in the Quality Management System, following documentation control requirements.
- Ensure that each worker has received the appropriate training and follow the updates.
- Ensure proper use of the provided equipment by his/her team.
- Investigate and analyze problems (link with Customer Relations, QA, Transport, Analysts) and performance issues in order to implement relevant corrective actions.
- Respect management guidelines.
