- Permanent**Siemens Digital Industries** is looking for a driven **Business Development Manager Pharma & Life Science** to **identify and develop customers for our Digital Solutions portfolio**. You'll join** our pharmaceutical HQ** team, covering a **scope from Belgium up until Europe or Asia**. Travelling is required more or less 40% of the time.

Quality, safe and efficient medicines are crucial for the pharmaceutical industry. To stay ahead, new cures and faster, leaner processes are needed. Our **digital solutions can boost efficiency, quality, and productivity** in the **value chain** by **combining the real and digital worlds**. This becomes possible with our **comprehensive Digital Twin** approach. It enables **integration of the entire product lifecycle **with the factory and plant lifecycle, along with performance data. The result is a continuous open loop of optimization, both for the product and the production.

As Business Development Manager Pharma & Life Science your mission will be to **support and drive a profitable sales growth** of the **Digital Solutions for Pharma **portfolio, encompassing **IT/OT integration from R&D up until Manufacturing**. You’ll work in an **international matrix organization,** actively liaising with various sales & expert teams, Key Account Managers, engineering centers, business units, marketing, and management.

This entails the following responsibilities:

- Together with a **mainly virtual international team** rolling out and implementing our **global strategy to increase market share with our automation & digitalization portfolio within the entire pharma ecosystem**, including end customers and relevant channel partners (e.g., OEMs, system integrators, EPC’s)
- Continuously **identifying and analyzing the Global and Regional Market developments**, strategic trends, customer needs and competitive advantages.
- **Developing strategic concepts and engaging in technological business development** to expand new markets and engage new customers.
- Acting as a true entrepreneur and team player, you will **provide proactively extended technical & business support** and advise customers and colleagues with **best-practices and benchmark approaches**, to position Siemens as a market-competent partner in the Pharma Industry.
- **Building and maintaining a stable network with peers **in the pharmaceutical market and position Siemens as a thought leader in Pharmaceutical and Life Science industries.

- Preferably, **5+ years’ international experience in (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing execution and the automation **market in an Engineering, Business Development or Sales position with **strong business mindset and technical expertise**. Knowledge in emerging Digital Application Trends including Cloud Technologies, Digital Process Twins is a strong asset.
- A Master’s degree in Biotech, Chemical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent through experience.
- **Entrepreneurship, consultative selling approach** knowing the industry and the client key issues and business drivers.
- You are **driven by KPI’s**, for which you **develop a strategic approach** with commercial awareness. As a creative spirit you will energetically develop new ideas and take initiatives as necessary to implement them.
- **Organized methodical approach**, able to set and work towards clearly defined targets, able to work effectively in occasionally intense environment. Result & quality-oriented approach
- Excellent presentation skills with ability to present effectively.
- Good team player and communicator with entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to work with and guide international working teams located at several locations.
- Networker, being able to develop and maintain a network of key contacts within the decision-making ranks.
- Excellent language skills**:fluent in speaking and writing English** with a preference to applicants with additional language skills such as Dutch, French or German.
