**Mission**:
As Business Intelligence Developer, you support Lineas’ management at different levels of the organization in achieving our strategy by creating and managing Reporting and Analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. You will be responsible to translate business requirements into reports and underlying queries and database models. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing bugs with reporting and analytic solutions.
As part of the Controlling & BI team, you make sure that all Reporting and related building blocks are aligned (a.o. with definitions and master-data and interoperable / re-usable.
**Tasks**:
Business Partnering
- Prior the development of a new Reporting or Analytics solutions, you align with the different stakeholders in the organization to understand the requirements (what do we want to achieve) and to translate them into a clear and signed-off project charter. You draft independently the project charter based on the received inputs and your knowledge of the systems and databases.
- During and after the development of a business intelligence deliverables, you monitor that the deliverable is functioning as per requirement and liaise periodically with the end-user(s) to maintain the product to the required level.
- You advice pro-actively the line organization regarding adjustments to process
- and/or systems.
- You support Business Controllers to report results and brainstorm how to improve existing or develop new Reporting or Analytics solutions.
Business Intelligence
- You are responsible for the assurance of usage of right definitions and master data.
- You work with the Data Team to get any needed clarification or modifications to project charters in terms of data source, data connectivity etc.
- You provide estimates for time needed to complete deliverables.
- You are responsible to build - as per requirements - a Reporting or Analytics mock-up including data extraction, data transformation, data loading / storage in the data warehouse and creation the BI-interface. After project approval, you coordinate with the Data team the industrialization of the BI-deliverable in the data warehouse.
- You maintain, debug, and provide updates to pre-existing business intelligence deliverables to assist support and product management teams.
Team work
- You work closely together with the other BI developers and the data team to assure alignment between all BI deliverables.
- You build bridges and actively collaborate with business controllers and line manager to understand the needs for new initiatives and projects.
- You actively promote and facilitate the development of (transversal) autonomous and connected teams and BI deliverables for all kinds of projects.
**Profile**:
- Good knowledge of data, process performance analysis and statistical techniques
- Ability to understand business requirements (how a process works) and translate this into BI-requirements
- Ability to diagnose complex issues and summarize it visually.
- Knowledge of project management and operational tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Pro-active, stress-resilient, pragmatic, result-oriented, flexible and initiative taker
- Good communication and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of SQL queries and BI-tools (knowledge of Alteryx and Tablea is a +)
- Good knowlegde English. Knowlegde French and Dutch
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (or equivalent education or work experience)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
