**Job Title: Research Services Business Development Manager (Field Based)**:

**Key Role and Responsibilities**:

- Implement a commercial sales plan to secure and grow large research service contracts with Pharma/Biotech clients to achieve growth
- Promote and market the Research Services portfolio internally and externally
- Deliver technical presentations and sell services solutions across client-led workflows
- Engage internal and external collaborators crafting a network of high-value clients and longer term partnerships
- Maintain a practical strategic business plan for the territory ensuring delivery of revenues to plan on a quarterly basis
Demonstrate use of selling skills in the field, such as making good opening statements, connecting with the customer, asking high gain questions, crafting the value proposition and closing.
- Participate in sales training programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with the Company philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Excellent negotiator.
Provide regular oral and written communication of successes, failures, standard methodologies etc. to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization.
- Communicates key competitive activities, market trends, changing customer needs, development plans and priorities.
- Provide a revenue report out & forecast by month to the relevant commercial leaders.
- Outstanding professional presence and eye for business.
- Demonstrated ability to connect with diverse customer audiences such as Economic Decision Makers, other influencers, and internal audiences across functions. Communication skills include excellent listening and presentation skills.
- Experience in leading/influencing team members in a matrix environment
- Ability to function effectively within a high-performance team with strong team building skills and the ability to resolve differences

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Must be flexible and willing to travel between 70- 80% in your territory to implement your duties.
- Requires Deep knowledge of the services workflow and technologies
- Demonstrated experience of sophisticated negotiations
- Degree in Life Sciences or extensive experience in cell & molecular biology
- Outstanding problem solving and social skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and training skills.
- Clear vision of, and dedication to, providing outstanding customer service.
- Commitment to contributions as a team member in a fast-paced, driven and dynamic field.
- Must be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical level.
- Must be fluent English, both verbal and written
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Necessary to Perform Essential Functions**:

- Minimum MSc / BSc or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or Cell & Molecular Biology.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- High energy level with ability to take initiative.
- Proven reasoning abilities with a clear capability to present solutions and exercise good judgement.
- Motivated to excellence of execution; a self-starter with a commercial mind-set. A hunter by nature.
- Process oriented with demonstrated attention to details.
- Teamwork oriented with collaborative style.
- Demonstrated strong intuition for business
- Clean driving licence
- Proven track record to identify large services deals and to convert leads to sales growing revenues in the assigned territory to meet or exceed the territory plan
- Expertise in stakeholder management; encouraging key relationships both scientific and commercial;complex deals
- Minimum 2 years validated successful sales experience within Life Sciences sector
- English language is a must
