As a member of the Product, Marketing, Merchandizing & Digital leadership team and thereby a key leader/influencer of Delhaize’s organization (13.000+ employees), you play a crucial role in defining and implementing Delhaize’s long-term strategy & master plan.
**Commercial Unit Center Store**
You define & implement the Center Store commercial unit long term strategy for all formats (Integrated & Affiliated supermarkets, proximity stores, shop n go & ecommerce). The approach consists of defining a vision and a detailed plan to ensure customer satisfaction & YoY growth (sales, margin & market share) for 7 Commercial Filières. This implies a full revamp of our commercial approach by embedding an affordable, healthy, sustainable and transparency approach in the entire customer promise. Also, proactivity and anticipation in drastic changes of customers consumption are required to position Delhaize as key player enabled by the right cultural shift within the company.
You define and ensure customer centric & affordable assortments, impactful promotional plans, optimal space management and innovative concepts & products. All initiatives are deployed with end 2 end thinking & collaboration to ensure operational excellence with customer operations, marketing, sourcing, finance & supply chain. Commercial approaches include defining the strategic partners approach to support growth ambitions on a mid-long-term basis.
You act as a leadership member and validate strategy, targets & capex investments.
**Sourcing**
You define Delhaize’s Belux long term sourcing strategy (A-brands & Own brands) and provide input for Delhaize’s overall commercial strategy. You lead all synergy initiatives (commercial & sourcing) in the Benelux and in collaboration with the Ahold Delhaize Group. The approach consists of defining a vision and a plan to extract YoY savings, secure supply, increase on-shelf availability, support sustainability targets and decrease supply chain complexity & cost. The LT sourcing strategy implies an in-depth revision of the supply chain enabling Delhaize to reinforce its leadership on the local market and mastering, as final responsible, the end-to-end affordability, innovation, quality, and food safety insurance in all the channels, central and store direct deliveries.
You organize & represent Delhaize in all supplier forums/organizations and public authorities. All saving programs are designed to fully integrate shopper needs and are tailored to the 7 commercial filières - while integrating sourcing specificities.
**Je profiel**:
- University Degree in business administration or equivalent
- Min. 12 years of experience in sourcing and category management (including proven knowledge in Logistics and Supply chain)
- Strong expertise of the primary sector
- Continuous follow up and understanding of the new production methods (Focus on quality and sustainability)
- A proven ability to grow businesses, with a successful track record in P&L management.
- A track record of leading a business requiring sizable deployment of people and different stakeholders.
- Experience of leading businesses through periods of major change and growth.
- A balance of working both strategically and operationally.
- Track record in developing innovative products and disruptive (e-)services.
- Strong leadership and management skills combined with an open and inclusive approach to business.
- Commercially astute with the drive to achieve strong results.
- Ability to influence diverse groups and engage at all levels both internally and externally.
- The ability to challenge positively and debate confidently.
- Disruptive and innovative mindset.
- Able to act as a catalyst for positive change.
- Strong negotiation skills and determination
