What you'll do
We are looking for an external resource in our client's Financial Business Control team. This consultant will analyse the result of each product in order to build the overall result. The team works closely with the Chief Financial Office Department (CFO) and the Chief Investment Office Department (CIO) as well as with all operational entities.
To temporary strengthen the team, we are looking for an external Financial & Business Control Officer.
- You will gather, validate, and challenge the results of all products (both life and death and health care): technical result, financial result, operating result. This exercise is carried out, among other things, during the monthly closings of all EB/HC products. You present the quantitative and qualitative reporting to the management (or the CFO department).
- You will be responsible for forecasting results: you will project the expected results of each product for the next three years.
- You manage a continuous optimization project: you can rely on efficient models, which must continue to be maintained and developed.
- You provide reports and explanations: as the person responsible for the results of your products, you answer questions from the various departments. In addition, you prepare, check and send various reports to the following stakeholders: National Bank of Belgium, FSMA, Assuralia, auditors...

- You like to have a transversal vision of the results and activities of the EB/HC business line. You can then make the most of your analytical and synthesis skills.
- You are flexible and result-oriented, and meeting deadlines is one of your strong points.
- You dare to take initiatives, in a dynamic and proactive way. And you never miss an opportunity to learn.
- As a French or Dutch speaker, you have a good knowledge of the other language. You communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- You have a good knowledge of various IT tools (Excel, Word, Visual Basic, SAS).
- EB/HC products hold no secrets for you? You have a good score
- You have a quantitative profile
- Knowledges in accounting principles IFRS 4 and Be GAAP (mandatory)
- Knowledge of the Insurance Accounting Principles (mandatory)
