A Transformation Programme has been established for Supply Chain to develop the supply chain capabilities required to support GSK’s growth ambition. This Programme will also drive alignment and accelerate value creation across Commercial, Operations, Finance and our Global Supply Chain. It will create the foundation for an accelerated, digital transformation of the end-to-end Supply Chain to drive revenue, profitability, and improved working capital. It will bring together complementary initiatives across GSK under one accountable GSK Supply Chain Transformation team.
There are 5 key Supply Chain Transformation (SCT) Work Streams that will deliver new capabilities for the organisation:
End to End Supply Chain Planning - including global implementation of our new Advanced Planning System, OMP Integrated Business Planning External Network Collaboration including External Manufacturing and Incoming Materials Suppliers Low touch Order fulfilment to Delivery End to End Control Tower including Decision Intelligence
These are supported by workstreams leading Data and Change & Capability.
The Implementation Lead role is an assignment for 24 months. The Implementation Lead will focus on specific work streams approved in the programme Phase 1 IBP scope - workstreams 1,2 and 5 above - and will impact all Supply Chain teams and also teams in Commercial, Finance, Operations, Procurement, External Manufacturing and Quality.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior level, experienced, influential and dynamic change leader to be part of a core team shaping the future direction of GSK’s supply chains. They will provide strong, capable leadership to the core teams enabling delivery, as well as resources across the organization contributing to the successful realisation of our Transformation and Change goals.
The Implementation Lead will lead a small team (directly and across the functional matrix) accountable for the implementation and sustained adoption of SCT processes and capabilities within Phase 1 and will:
Represent the business needs in the detailed design and testing of new processes and capabilities being developed by the work streams Ensure that the supply chain is ready for implementation of new processes and capabilities as identified through change impact assessments (e.g. ensure all business aspects are ready for Go Live) and any risks are managed and mitigated Deliver the implementation of new processes and capabilities across the supply chain, acting as change champion and connecting across experts to ensure Go Live and post Go Live success
In this role you will:
- Ensure new processes and capabilities are ready for implementation
- Ensure the business is ready for the implementation of new capabilities
- Implement new processes and capabilities across GSC
- Provide leadership to ensure success of your team and the overall transformation
This role will need to influence and onboard a wide range of senior stakeholders across Supply Chain and Operations functions. The role and team must engage across the Phase 1 work stream teams to deliver the committed business benefits of the overall Supply Chain Transformation plan. The deployments that are assigned may be varied across Vaccines, Specialty and General Medicines and along the supply chain, but the same principles of implementation should be applied.
**THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED ON A 24 MONTH SECONDMENT**

- Bachelors Degree — preferred discipline in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement [or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience]
- Experience in planning process and tools, supply chain/operations
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change and a continuous improvement mindset

- Accountability mindset
**Preferred qualifications and skills**
- Qualification in a supply chain or operational related discipline - logistics, supply/demand management, operational management
- Pharmaceutical / Vaccines Experience
- Strong understanding of business drivers, objectives and challenges. Proven business acumen
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to interact, influence, and manage multiple and varied business contacts, both internal and external, often with different requirements and goals
- Leading edge knowledge of Supply Chain processes and supporting systems within a global business environment
