WOOD.BE is een toekomstgerichte en toonaangevende organisatie waar de bedrijven terecht kunnen met al hun vragen over technologie, innovatie, certificatie, normalisatie, testen, veiligheid,We zijn gevestigd in het centrum van het land (Anderlecht/Brussel). We zijn eenvoudig bereikbaar, zowel met het openbaar vervoer als met de wagen. In het kader van de uitbouw van ons departement Research & Innovation zijn wij op zoek naar extra talent om ons bestaande team van gedreven collega’s te versterken. Word jij onze nieuwe collega?

**Jouw toekomstige functie**:

- als Research & Innovation expert vertrek je in al jouw activiteiten vanuit een brede visie op het bedrijfsleven en op onderzoek & innovatie;
- je bent actief op zowel collectief sectorniveau als op individueel bedrijfsniveau;
- op collectief sectorniveau verricht je toegepast onderzoek met als doelstelling om de toekomst van de hout
- en meubelindustrie innovatiever en duurzamer te maken. Dit kan gaan over een brede waaier van producten (en de bijhorende processen), gaande van houtbouw en houten bouwproducten over meubelen tot en met matrassen. Je vertaalt deze doelstelling in concrete en meetbare resultaten;
- op individueel bedrijfsniveau lever je innovatieadvies op maat van de bedrijven van de hout
- en meubelindustrie. Je fungeert hierbij als gesprekspartner van bedrijfsleiders, R&D- verantwoordelijken en andere sleutelfiguren binnen de bedrijven;
- de kennis die je opbouwt via toegepast onderzoek breng je op een pragmatische manier over op de bedrijven;
- je bouwt mee aan de circulaire toekomst van de hout
- en meubelindustrie.

**Jouw profiel**:

- je beschikt over een masterdiploma dat een voldoende wetenschappelijke en technische basis biedt voor jouw functie binnen WOOD.BE (bv. industrieel ingenieur, burgerlijk ingenieur, bio-ingenieur,) of over een gelijkwaardige achtergrond dankzij een combinatie van opleiding en ervaring;
- je hebt een brede interesse voor thema’s als (hout)technologie, circulaire economie, duurzame materiaaltechnologie,Specialist zijn in al deze thema’s is niet nodig. Jouw leergierigheid en aanpassingsvermogen stellen je in staat om snel te schakelen van het ene thema naar het andere;
- je beschikt over relevante werkervaring op het vlak van onderzoek en innovatie;
- je bent niet alleen een denker, maar ook een doener. Je steekt graag de handen uit de mouwen voor hands-on activiteiten. Afhankelijk van het project waarop je werkt, jouw achtergrond en interessesfeer kan dit verschillende vormen aannemen: het uitvoeren van testwerk in samenwerking met de collega’s van het laboratorium, het animeren van een lerend netwerk, het organiseren van evenementen,;
- je denkt en werkt in functie van oplossingen en toegevoegde waarde voor de klant;
- je hebt zin voor initiatief en je denkt en werkt toekomstgericht;
- je bent een echte teamspeler;
- je durft verantwoordelijkheid nemen en communiceert vlot met jouw collega’s;
- je bent bij voorkeur tweetalig (N/F) en beschikt daarnaast over een basiskennis van het Engels. Je hebt een vlotte pen;
- Je kan vlot overweg met de meest courante desktop
- & webapplicaties (MS Office, online overleg
- en samenwerkingstools, online databanken,).
