For our production site in Heist-op-den-Berg (+900 people), we are currently looking for a:
**Quality Officer**:
**The function**:
The Quality Officer supports our Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) production department and makes timely quality assessment of the batches produced, investigates, and follows up on quality deviations in production and deviating analysis results.

In addition, the Quality Officer develops and supervises projects to prevent recurrence of deviations and increase the general quality level.

The Quality officer supports the production department in achieving optimal product quality and set production objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess possible quality impacts on the produced batches based on all available data.
- Investigating “Out-of-Specification” analysis results, together with lab QA and pharmaceutical specialist
- Supervising investigations in case of deviations.
- Approving deviation reports initiated by production, labs, and other departments.
- Approve and self-define corrective actions to limit the influence of “Out-of-Specification” analysis results and deviations.
- Approve and self-define preventive actions to prevent recurrence of “Out-of-Specification” analysis results and deviations.
- Monitoring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Checking and approving non-batch related documents (e.g., maintenance, calibration, interventions).
- Drawing up trending per product in Product Review Report.
- Handling complaints from the market.
- Deciding on proposed changes to GMP related processes.
- Support to various internal and external customers.
- Proposing the inspection decision on batching to the Plant Qualified Person.
- If an industrial pharmacist in possession of an approval number as a competent person: inspecting batches.

**Qualifications**:

- Higher degree in a scientific field.
- Qualified Person (or in the process of obtaining the degree).
- Experience with problem-solving techniques in the pharmaceutical industry or in a production environment.
- GMP knowledge.
- Able to set priorities.
- Proactive mind-set.
- **_ Willing to work in shifts_**.
